EVERYDAY MISSION
SESSION SIX
How do I share the gospel? (Part 2)
If Session 5 invited you to see “open doors,” this one helps equip you to walk through them! There are hundreds of ways to share the objective gospel in people’s subjective situations. As we listen well, we can hear how the gospel sounds like truly good news to various people. And we can also share our own stories — explaining your personal hope in Christ, in a way that others understand.
And finally, let’s not forget to practice! Sharing the gospel is not a skill to acquire or a subject area to master and the more we do it, the easier it becomes.

When was the first time you heard the gospel or that it truly sounded like good news to you? What were the significant relationships that might have played a role in you hearing about it?
Ben gave an example of his “ready defense” in the video. What is your ready defense for why you have your hope in God? If you don’t have one, take a few minutes to write it out and then share it. (Remember to keep it hopeful, personal, succinct, gentle & respectful.)
What are some of the things people commonly put their hope or identity in other than Jesus? How would you share the gospel as “good news” in these subjective situations? It may be helpful to think of a specific person you actually know!
