EVERYDAY MISSION
SESSION FOUR
Where & when does everyday mission happen?
By definition, everyday mission happens in the context of our ordinary lives! When we invite people into our lives, and in both small moments and big events, God invites and equips us to go “into the darkness” and invite people into our lives. And… everyday mission happens best when it happens in community (with our nuclear family and church family).

Reflect
How are Jesus’ everyday activities of walking, working, eating, drinking, and praying helpful to us as we consider living on mission in our ordinary everyday moments? How can we be generous people in these activities and not compartmentalize our lives?
Read 1 Peter 2:11-12. Which half of the verse are you better at? Do you sometimes ignore the other half, & why?
How does being on mission look like within your own home, with your nuclear family? What are the challenges to seeking God’s salvation for those inside your family? How can you balance mission in and outside your nuclear family and focus on God’s mission to transform them into fully devoted followers of Jesus?
Assignment
What are some creative ways you can be intentional with a little planning to use events, celebrations and holidays as opportunities to invite the people in your mission field to join you? Think of something to celebrate (big or small) this week and who you can ask to join. Alternatively, think of someone you could celebrate and show gospel generosity to!
