SESSION TWO

Who is my everyday mission field?

Very often, God sends us to one or more of the following general groups of people: our neighbors, the needy, and the nations. This session encourages and equips you to seek the Lord first and asking what mission field he has for us and is sending us to. We need his power and leadership.

  • What did you find the most challenging about the topic and discussion? What stood out to you the most?

  • What are the implications to you viewing your specific vocation as being informed by your general calling as a Christian to the everyday mission? Have you ever viewed a job you have (paid or unpaid) in this way? Why or why not?

  • How does knowing you have a specific calling practically add value and purpose to your life? Does this change how you can be intentionally missional in your vocation?

 

Assignment

How often do you pray for opportunities? Write a list of 2 or 3 people or opportunities you’d like to see in your life. Commit to praying for these and also seeking opportunities this week!
