YOUR HOME AS A WEAPON FOR THE GOSPEL
SESSION THREE
A Weapon for Discipling Others
One of the most overt ways to practice hospitality in the home is by inviting others to live with us. But even that phrase raises tons of questions and pushback! Dhati and Angie share some principles and practices they have learned over nearly 20 years of having people with them for short seasons they called "SIMS" and longer seasons they called "Abide." The Lewises share benefits, downsides, and real-time lessons of these seasons of intentional discipleship and holistic growth.

What things are the most appealing, and least appealing, about the idea of having people live with you?
What elements of the Lewises’ intentionality could you replicate — whether that intentionality takes the exact shape in your household as in theirs, or not?
What stood out to you from this session, and what is one next step you’ll take from it?
Assignment
Think about someone in your life who would benefit from such an intentional season of discipleship: brainstorm what steps/activities/etc. you would have them take if they were to be invited into such an intentional season of discipleship. And… pray about whether God might have you put that idea into practice, by pursuing their discipleship.
