YOUR HOME AS A WEAPON FOR THE GOSPEL

SESSION TWO

A Weapon for Family Discipleship

In this Session, Dhati and Angie Lewis discuss principles and practices of disciple-making — both in their home and their nuclear family, and from their home with members of their church family. They share some experiences, some convictions, and some parenting lessons, all in different stages of their kids' development. Then they talk about how they integrate others into their family's everyday lives  — for both normal friendships and discipleship relationships — and how to define the difference, set clear expectations and boundaries, and release pressure around those different kinds of relationships.

  • What impacts you about the different developmental stages the Lewises mention?

  • What stood out to you from this session, and what is one next step you’ll take from it?

Assignment

Determine at least one tangible thing you can do — with your family or within your household — to take a step toward normal, everyday discipleship… then do it!
