THRIVING IN MINISTRY
SESSION FOUR
Rhythms for Sustainability
In the final session of this course, Bill gets practical: he introduces five rhythms that focus on our souls as sons and daughters of God, rather than whatever roles you play in ministry. Both the “outward” and “inward” rhythms become invitations to you, to implement in your everyday life. The course closes by asking you to consider what rhythms you might pursue, as you consider a lifetime of thriving in ministry.

Reflect
Are more of your spiritual rhythms related to your ministry or your own soul?
Which of the 5 rhythms are most normative for you, which aren’t?
What steps God is inviting you into, based on this session - & what would you need to do to make that rhythm a reality?
Assignment
Determine what steps you’ll take related to each of the five rhythms. Additionally, practice an “examen” (here is one guide).
