What is a Lab?

A Residency Lab is a safe place for your residents to explore ministry, gain hands-on experience, and grow in confidence—all within the unique values and theological context of your church. Our collaborative approach equips leaders with essential disciple-making competencies, helping them discover their calling and ministry focus in partnership with you.

How Do Labs Work?

  1. Host Church Residency

  • 3-4 hours a week in your church

  • Learn ministry by doing it

  • Develop in specific needs, personally and spiritually

2. Prep Work / Assignments

  • 3-4 hrs/wk personal work

  • Input: Read, watch & listen

  • Output: Practice, discuss, write, & apply principles

3. In-Person Lab Weeks

  • bi-monthly, 2-3 days

  • Learn & practice with proven trainers

  • Engage peer learning

4. Organization Focus / Assessment

  • Org-specific values/ doctrine / philosophy

  • Network/denominational assessment

5. Spouse Coaching / Involvement

  • Monthly coaching call

  • Involvement in some Lab Weeks & assignments
