Learning Evangelism from Jesus
The Equipping Group’s January 2024 Online Workshop
Do we actually know how Jesus sounds like good news to people today?
Do we know how to share the gospel in a way that it addresses peoples' true needs, problems, questions and situations?
In an increasingly pluralistic society where more and more people, things, and ideas claim to be 'the answer people need,' many attempts to 'share the gospel' are based on increasingly shrinking worldviews.
There is, of course, one gospel. Only Jesus offers the truly best news everyone is looking for, but there are dozens of ways to show Jesus to be good news to the different people around us. Jesus himself is our perfect model of applying the gospel in many different ways to peoples' many specific situations.
The Equipping Group is honored to kick off 2024 by hosting Dr. Jerram Barrs, retired seminary professor and author of Learning Evangelism from Jesus (among other works), to help us learn from Jesus' example as we follow in his ancient footsteps of speaking the gospel in various ways that sound like truly good news today.
