GOD’S UNIQUE DESIGN FOR YOUR SPECIFIC MISSION WITH TOMY WILKERSON

How are you uniquely gifted for God’s mission? Tampa Underground Director Tomy Wilkerson starts this course by defining the Underground’s simple view of “church,” and lays the foundation for peoples’ missionary journey by asking, “what makes a persevering leader?” Whether you lead a microchurch, church, group, or any ministry, the answer (in part) lies in understanding the themes of a missionary journey. Tomy shares some of his own specific journey, and invites us to consider ours.

What has Jesus disrupted in your life? What did he break, and what was the result of that breaking? After describing a missionary journey in Session 1, Tomy explains a renewal process that God often pursues in the lives of his people. It’s often through bringing us low – and being asked to lay down everything for the sake of Jesus, that we see his better lordship and thus define our calling.

After Jesus breaks us of our idols, he invites us to experience renewal! While acknowledging that there are things only God can do to remove idols and spur us onto deeper life with him, Tomy ends this course offering two proactive, tangible steps as we ask God to help us “lay down our life” for the sake of his mission.
